SF Citadel is Closed until Covid-19 is over
With the world opening back up, I know that everyone is wanting to get back to normal life. As the owner of a public play space, I feel that it is my responsibility to make sure it is safe to gather in large crowds, when it comes to my space. With that being said, Citadel will not be opening until I feel it is safe. All money that is donated and has been donated, has and will be used to maintain storage for the equipment. Thank you to everyone who has helped. In the mean time, I will be looking for a space that fits all of Citadel's needs. If there are any questions, please email me directly at [email protected] Thank you and I look forward to seeing everyone when Citadel re-opens.

COVID-19 Guidelines for SF Citadel

COVID-19 Guidelines for SF Citadel
For when SF Citadel Reopens
SF Citadel cares deeply about the health and wellbeing of every member of our community. As we continue to learn more about the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and it’s spread in North America, we feel it’s important to put in place a few attendance guidelines when joining us for one of our classes, parties, or events. Together, we can minimize the spread of COVID-19 (influenza, the common cold, and other communicable illnesses) so we can keep having a kinky, fun time at the dungeon we all call home. We will be closed to the public until further notice.
The following is the start of guidelines that will be in place when Citadel re-opens to the public:
Please Stay Home if You Feel Unwell
If you're feeling a little bit sick -- fever, coughing, problems breathing, lethargy, headaches, nausea -- please stay home and rest. Symptoms of COVID-19 can begin to manifest as early as 48 hours after infection but as late as 2 weeks, and it might seem like a simple cold or flu initially (which, to be honest, we would prefer you stay home with too). Staying home not only prevents the spread but allows your body the rest and downtime necessary to recover. We'll miss having you at the event but we're looking forward to seeing you at the next one when you're feeling better and not contagious.
If you need to cancel a volunteer shift, please do so at [email protected]
Wash Your Hands and Minimize Incidental Contact
Upon arrival, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water and continue to do so throughout the course of the event.
Substituting handshakes or hugs with fist or elbow bumps is encouraged.
Make sure to disinfect again if you're about to be in physical contact with someone or just finished.
Refrain from touching your face frequently. The coronavirus is communicable through coughing and sneezing and the easiest way for it to be introduced into your body is by your hands (followed by the mouth and sexual contact).
We will also provide alcohol-based hand sanitizer, which is good and has shown to be effective against this kind of virus. Please make use of it but remember that it cannot beat thorough hand washing.
Sanitize Your Space
Coronavirus can live on metal, glass, or plastic surfaces for up to 9 days and for varying lengths of time on other materials. Please thoroughly sanitize surfaces before and after use, using the cleaning products that we provide (alcohol and cavicide). Use sheets to cover your play area as you normally would. This is standard etiquette at the Citadel, but please make sure you are doing a thorough job, not just a cursory wipedown. We at Citadel clean all equipment with surgical cleaner and all surfaces with lysol, clorox and/or Oban disinfectant.
To disinfect:
Most common EPA-registered household disinfectants will work. Use disinfectants appropriate for the surface.
Options include:
Diluting your household bleach.
To make a bleach solution, mix:
5 tablespoons (1/3rd cup) bleach per gallon of water
OR
4 teaspoons bleach per quart of water
Follow manufacturer’s instructions for application and proper ventilation. Check to ensure the product is not past its expiration date. Never mix household bleach with ammonia or any other cleanser. Unexpired household bleach will be effective against coronaviruses when properly diluted.
Alcohol solutions.
Ensure solution has at least 70% alcohol.
Other common EPA-registered household disinfectants.
Products with EPA-approved emerging viral pathogens claims are expected to be effective against COVID-19 based on data for harder to kill viruses. Follow the manufacturer’s instructions for all cleaning and disinfection products (eg concentration, application method and contact time, etc.).
Consideration for Others
It's not only about decreasing your chances of catching COVID-19. It's also about ensuring that those around you aren't put at increased risk, particularly those with compromised immune systems or other factors that make them more vulnerable. Keeping clean, covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or inside of your elbow instead of your hand, and using approved cleaners on all play surfaces might be things you already practice but an extra effort right now helps us all.
If you know you are at a higher risk of exposure, whether from health difficulties, job obligations, or personal connections, please factor those risks into your personal equation before attending events. We want to keep risks of transmission to a minimum.
Stay Informed
Staying informed and up-to-date with progress on COVID-19 is another important step:
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention
San Francisco Department of Public Health
While this is a severe situation still unfolding, with a little forethought, care, and prevention, we can mitigate the risk of transmission while still preserving our ability to have a kinky, fun time.
Help our community stay alive:
The following is a list of patreon and gofund me accounts for the community at large. If you can help any of these businesses during this hard time, it will help our community weather the storm. Even a little can go a long way. If there is anyone else that would like to be added to this list please contact me at [email protected] Lets keep this list going as far as we can to keep our community alive.
Stay safe.
